Lisa Winston's house had just been burned down to the ground in the October fires. About a month or so later, we found out that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Needless to say, this is just too many catastrophes to bear alone. She is strong, optimistic, beautiful ...but even so, there's nothing like a community rising up to help you through such unspeakably hard times. So, I thought that it would be a perfect way to start the post-SDIMF season by dedicating the first Indie By Design to Lisa, making it a fundraiser. This is going to be a phenomenal show! 21 & Up.
